Banner Making
An alternative to having a banner printed professionally is to make it yourselves. Plural intended, this is a group activity. Weed barrier fabric and white duct tape gives a home made quality,
Materials
Scissors, white pencils, regular pencils, t-squares, rulers, masking tape (craft tape), white duct tape (gaffer’s tape), inexpensive weed barrier fabric, brown craft paper. Optional: grommet kit, gorilla tape, and black ripstop cord.
Process
Plan the letter sizes and positioning.
Draw and cut letters out of craft paper.
Attach to fabric with masking tape. Adjust letter positioning.
Trace outlines around the letters with magic marker or white pencil.
Fill in the outlines with white duct tape.
Optional: Reinforce corners and spots along top with gorilla tape. Punch holes with grommets. Make loops with ripstop.
The finished result is durable and can be used again and again.

Cheaper than professional printing, unless you count the cost of labor. 3.5 hours from 6 people fabrication time, plus time acquiring materials, not to mention time in meetings deciding the slogan.
